Cant use it: stuck while syncing...

Good app

Intuitive, function, simple. Good app for Chicagoland transit.

Broken favorites

Ive told support about the broken "favorites" section over 5 months ago and still no fix. The app works to get your ticket, but it still has bugs that the developers just dont seem to want to fix.

Broken App

As other users reported, My Favorite section is broken. Additionally, using a non English system, yields Semi-broken Spanish tags in the whole app instead of English. There is no way to choose the language and eve resetting the app keeps showing place holders for the language variables but not the right texts. You can indeed buy/use tickets. I hope that functionality at least continues.

Stay away, it dows not work. You WILL loose money

This is a nice example of someone make a simple system so complex that is does not work. Be aware that you order a ticket to be send to your home adress. I justy lost $20 as the customer service is absolutly useless and can not help. STAY AWAY from this app!!!

Horrible

This is a horrible, horrible, horrible app. Absolutely stupid functionality that does not remember information you put in and does not make it at all easy to add value to your card in app as it does not remember your stored information. Sad. Could really use this if it worked. Until the proper and necessary fixes are made avoid at all cost!

Great app

I never leave reviews on iTunes but I feel compelled after reading the other reviews on here to write about how great this app is (maybe the other users need to reinstall, update, etc.) Im using an iPhone 6s, by the way. - Ive used this app for over a year and I have been able to rely on it for consistency every time. - I entered a credit card card to reload my Ventra cards and I have, within minutes of needing to board a train, been able to tap my phone screen and instantly reload my Ventra card. - my "favorites" section has all of my favorite stops loaded and updated. - I regularly use the "nearby" function to find a bus when Im in an unfamiliar area- that works like a charm. -I am buying and using a Metra card today, all on my iPhone. This is really a great app for the transit system in Chicago and Im really glad thats it available to make transit life a million times easier.

One of the best public transit apps

Visited Chicago for the weekend and used this app to purchase METRA tickets, reload my VENTRA card, and track trains. Everything worked well and the UI is well designed. Sounds like the other reviewers may need to update the app or, in some cases, stick to means of acquiring tickets that is more in line with their level of technical competence.

Garbage

Forget about checking your arrival time once you are in route, cant look back to advise your ride of additional pickup location times. Or look to see when a train should have arrived. Its crap! but stuck using for eticket purposes.

Very solid app. Does what it needs to do well.

Im not sure why some of the reviews on here as so harsh. I think this is a great app. Its made purchasing transit tickets and using them quite easy. I love the transit tracker as well. My only thing that I think its missing is alerts to tell you if your fave lines are having problems.

Annoying

Tried numerous times to update credit card information and it was impossible. Waste of time.

Works for me

I get notified when my balance is low--usually seconds after I am past the gate--and after registering my credit card I can recharge my credit with one tap. Great job.

Epic fail

Massive disaster compared to now-disabled Metra app. Wrong info, requires registration for simple timetable searches, poor user interface, etc. Metra website much better.

The most horrific inconsistent UI

Just wow. The UIPicker controls for selecting state etc manage to constantly stay stuck on screen. Blatant disregard for Apples human interface guidelines.

Meh

Needs work. Its been updated several times, but the "Favorites" button *still* doesnt work. It takes 4 clicks to get times for my train stop, instead of 1.

A nice idea....

Used for a month and loved it until... Went to buy my new monthly Metra pass and for some reason the monthly pass option was grayed out (yes it was between the 20th and 5th when I tried to buy). Could buy anything, except the monthly pass I needed. When I went to buy a physical pass, I heard Metra is laying off staff at the ticket offices. So Im left with an app that doesnt work, less access to buying physical passes, oh and of course when you use contact us through the app to get help you are ignored. At least its topping off my CTA/Pace card (or at least I think it is...better check). Total bridge out ahead feeling!

Phone scan

It is great that I cannot upload funds and track the train from the same app but itd be 4-5stars if we could scan the pass from our phone.

Favorites stopped working

Can add stops to favorite but can not see list

No Apple Pay.

No Apple Pay or Apple wallet support basically makes this app pointless.

Wont work at all

I really have to hand it to the CTA for designing an app thats so secure it wont even open. The first time I booted it up, I was able to create an account fairly normally, but when it came to paying for the ticket I had in my cart, none of the options did anything despite not being greyed out. I figured it was because I had to log in again, but the login screen wouldnt accept any username/password combination I put in. I tried one of the exact same combinations on the actual Ventra site and it worked, but now the app wont open; its stuck on a blue screen with the logo, and that wont change no matter how much I terminate the app via the double-home button menu. Is this some sort of scam to make me pay a dollar extra every time I ride?
